ROCKWOOD BRIDGE SHELTER

Established 2022

Location: Rockwood
Number of Beds: 44

Sunstone Way’s bridge shelter, the Rockwood Bridge Motel, is a 44-room motel shelter that hosts participants that have already been approved for permanent supportive housing and need a transitional space as they await their new home.

The shelter provides ongoing behavioral health support and additional resources. Bridge shelters 'bridge' the gap that many face when shifting from shelter to housing.

  • Bridge shelters act as a transitional space between for shelter participants that have already been approved for permanent supportive housing. This "bridges" the gap between shelter and the participant's new home.

  • Our vision is to transform lives, communities and futures through holistic resource navigation.

Every participant who walks through a Sunstone Way shelter door has access to a variety of wrap-around services, including behavioral health care, case management, resource navigation, and peer support. We pride ourselves on setting up each participant to have consistent and regular contact with a dedicated, compassionate, and trauma-informed team. This builds trust and sets a path for reducing stress and building resiliency, allowing them to move forward on the path to hope and housing.

  • We meet participants where they are - encouraging them as they set their own goals and supporting them as they work to accomplish those goals.

  • The Rockwood Bridge shelter is for individuals who have already been approved for permanent housing. Entry requires referral through an outside agency.
