2020

The city of Portland responds to the COVID-19 pandemic by building small village sites to meet social distancing needs of people experiencing houselessness.


2021


2022

Do Good Multnomah’s Chris Aiosa (Executive Director), Daniel Hovanas, and Andy Goebel decide to form a non-profit to meet the growing sheltering and housing needs of the community and All Good Northwest is born.

The Market Street Congregate Shelter is opened with the capacity to serve up to 120 individuals every night. 

The Joint Office of Homeless Services reaches out to AGNW to operate the three villages: BIPOC Village, Queer Affinity Village, and Old Town Village. The first orientations for the new sites are held in the back yard of a founder’s home.


2023

The Rockwood Bridge Motel shelter opens its doors. The first bridge motel shelter in Multnomah County, the 44-room motel serves as a transitional space for those who have been approved for permanent housing but need a space to stay until their new home is ready. 

For the safety of program participants, the Old Town Village is decommissioned as AGNW prepares to ramp up a new shelter in the Multnomah Village community. 

The Queer Affinity Village is relocated to SW Portland.

All Good Northwest launches its Mobile Retention Team, offering support and essential services to former AGNW participants who have been successfully placed in housing.

AGNW opens the new Multnomah Safe Rest Village, staffed by Old Town Village staff and with many of the Old Town Village participants transitioning into the new site. 


2024

All Good Northwest announces it’s changing its name to Sunstone Way.

The IRS grants non-profit status to All Good Northwest (AGNW). Andy Goebel is named the Executive Director of the new non-profit.


2025

Sunstone Way is set to expand into Clackamas County with a new Transitional Village 

The Multnomah Safe Rest Village program begins its’ expansion from 30 units to 100 units.

The Mobile Retention program houses 70 individuals through Housing Multnomah Now initiative.

At its simplest, we hope that our name conveys what we also hope to bring to our community: warmth, hope and stability.
